I did something dumb today - I went into work when I wasn't scheduled. I must have looked at Quanetta's schedule because she is listed right above me. Anyway, not a huge deal because one of the other cashiers called in, so they needed me anyway. Extra money is always nice.
I am so excited for Friday. I think I am more excited for that than my actual birthday. I think it's because finally, all the most important people to me are 21 and we can go out together and just have a good time (I.E. Britt, Teetz, JohnRoss, Knappster). I was the first of all of us to turn 21, and while B-Dubs was fun on my 21st (anyone remember Adam having to hold me on the stool so I didn't topple over? Yeah, I don't, I just heard about it the next morning), now we can all can partake. The only downside is Adam not being here, and he missed the last one too because he was in Mississippi training. At least Silas and Mike will be around for it, so it'll be like old times for the most part, and of course we'll send Adam the pictures, although I don't know if that makes him feel better or worse, seeing us having fun without him, know what I mean? But good times will be had once again, he is on leave in March or April, hopefully in March because it would be wicked if he could be home for his birthday.
I played "Must Be Doing Something Right" by Billy Currington for Drake to see what he thought about it. I love the chorus, but I think the verses are way too sexual for it to be our first dance, and he agreed. Plus he is not a big country fan and this definitely has some twang to it. And we've got a while to find a song, it's not like we're getting hitched tomorrow, but given the fact that our musical tastes are so different, I think finding a song will be one of the biggest battles. I still like "Bless the Broken Road" but he nixed that one too. Argh. Ah well, I will find one, there must be a first dance. And what am I supposed to do about the father/daughter dance? I can't exactly dance with mom, that would look silly, I could dance with Grandpa, I think that would be okay. Anyone know what the wedding etiquette is on that? Oh well, I never do anything else like a normal person would, there's no reason my wedding should be any different from the rest of my life.
Aside from birthday, nothing major happening. SVU is new so Teetz and I have to watch it tomorrow night, can't wait, lots of fun.

Oh Bailie, yes you are important of course. I just meant from that specific circle of friends. And no, SVU is not on Thursday nights, Teetz and I just don't get to watch it on Tuesdays because of our schedules so we watch it then.
You knew I'd answer this question. There is no established etiquette for who dances with the bride if the father is unavailable, but I think your grandfather is the best choice in this case. Etiquette can be followed from there if you really want, but I have yet to see a wedding dance where the "proper" (read: unnecessary) etiquette is followed.
